HE GOT UP.
A message to all those celebrating the Great Hope today.
Beloved brothers, sisters, friends, and fellow seekers of truth,
On this sacred day we proclaim Chag ha-T’ḥiyyah חַג הַתְּחִיָּה, the Festival of the Resurrection. Easter stands as the single most triumphant day in salvation history.
It declares the bodily resurrection of Yĕshúa ha-Māšîaḥ, the Anointed One, the Firstborn from the dead.1
This is the culmination of Pesach פֶּסַח, the fulfillment of the prophets, and the cosmic confirmation that sin, death, and the grave have been defeated.
This is not metaphor. It is not myth. It is a historical, tangible, covenantal event. The women approached the tomb. The stone was moved. The Heavenly messenger spoke plainly: He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.2
The witnesses were reminded of His words: It is necessary that the Son of Man בֶּן-אָדָם ﷻ be betrayed… crucified, and rise on the third day.3
The apostolic proclamation followed with clarity: Messiah מָשִׁיחַ ﷻ died for our sins according to the Prophets, was buried, and rose again on the third day.4 The resurrection validates the Covenant.5 It confirms that every promise stands.
Without the resurrection, the faith of the fellowship collapses. If Messiah ﷻ has not been raised, your faith is worthless.6
Because He lives, forgiveness is real. Because He lives, hope is secured. Because He lives, the future has already begun to break into the present.
Because He lives, you can face tomorrow.
Chag ha-T’ḥiyyah affirms that the resurrection is bodily. The risen Lord bears scars. He walks. He speaks. He eats. Creation is affirmed as good. The coming resurrection of the righteous is guaranteed.
The Firstfruits principle declared in Torah7 finds fulfillment here. He rises as the beginning of a greater harvest. The empty tomb signals that New Creation has been launched.
This is the new Exodus. The deliverance from Egypt foreshadowed a deeper liberation. Now humanity is called out of sin and death. The breath of the world to come has entered history. The Kingdom has begun.
Devotion on this day, as it should be done every day, reflects that victory. Our faithful assembly every Sabbath echoes the discovery of the empty tomb. The Resurrection accounts8 are read aloud.
The proclamation resounds in many tongues:
He is risen.
!הוּא קָם וּמוֹלֵךְ לְעוֹלְמֵי עוֹלָמִים
እርሱ ተነሥቷል እና ለዘላለም ይነግሣል!
!هُوَ قَامَ وَيَمْلِكُ إِلَى الْأَبَدِ
¡Él ha resucitado y reina por siempre!
Ele ressuscitou e reina para sempre!
祂已经复活,并且永远掌权!
او برخاسته است و تا ابد سلطنت میکند
Communion is shared the Sabbath before Resurrection Morning. Tables are prepared. Communities gather in joy because death has been confronted and overcome.
Chag ha-T’ḥiyyah carries revolutionary force. The resurrection establishes that injustice does not possess ultimate authority. Tyranny does not write the final chapter.
Despair does not define the human story. The risen King reigns. His victory calls His followers to embody justice, mercy, courage, and truth in a fractured world.
To my fellow believers, may this Easter anchor you in unshakable confidence. May the reality of the empty tomb strengthen your obedience and steady your heart.
To those who are still searching, may this proclamation awaken curiosity and hope. The resurrection invites every soul into life.
Chag ha-T’ḥiyyah is not the end of the story. It is the beginning of everything. The King has conquered, the tomb is empty, and the world will never be the same.
Put simply: HE GOT UP.
